While there are plenty of amenities, I found the lack of TV to add to the relaxing atmosphere!! The short 20 minute walk into the village was nothing short of stepping back into time as we used the trail along the waters edge. Best part? The staff. Alina was a superb hostess and went above and beyond what we expected.
We went to Scotland for the sheep but stumbled upon this lovely spot. The staff was AMAZING and incredibly friendly, was very Scottish cabin in appeal, which was exactly what we wanted. There was a lovely young man who helped us, he was informative, and pleasant to speak to!!
In our two week treck, one of our favorite places. Loved the dogs, the bathtub, and our host.
We rented two bedrooms for a night with my a mother and my sister. Our only regret was not to stay longer. Paradise home in a quiet domain. The only "bad" point would be the outside of the house that need more care.
We loved our stay at Corry Lodge. The room was huge, lovely fluffy towels and a great view. We had a friendly welcome by the gentleman looking after the house; he was so helpful with great advice on where/what to see and local restaurants. The house has a homely feel despite being very large, very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was great with homemade jams and fresh baked pastries. One of the best rooms I have stayed in; coupled with the excellent service and location I would recommend staying here.
This was actually quite a relaxing stay. It's a comfortable nice little lodge. They have a lot of amenities and you can bring your own food to make. I find it ideal for families or groups traveling together. The only thing is that they dont have a shower just bath so if you are tall like me you might find a slight complication. Other than that it's fair for what you pay.
Absolutely steeped in history, what a place!!! Jeanne-Marie, (although a very busy lady) is nothing but the kindest of hosts when she can spare herself, this is a must for anyone travelling to skye, the building and surrounding land with its attachments have more than tourist attraction viability, add then the owner of this fabulous home and her collection of artifacts from the far East and her knowledge of the building and her collection and her willingness to teach anyone that's interested, combined you've got yourself a stay away in glorious surroundings completely in a league of its own, nothing can touch this Highland island experience... well done... Thank you for everything, I've definitely come away a different person
